Makita Angle Drill
Angle drills, or right-angle drills to be precise, are the perfect tool when it comes to certain electrical or plumbing jobs. I'm talking about when you need to make large holes in tight spaces, such as in wall studs and joists. Usually people don't realize they have a need to own an angle drill until such a situation comes up. An angle drill is just like a normal drill except the chuck is at a right angle to the body, allowing it to get into those tight spaces while at the same time allowing you the user to apply enough force to get the job done. Sometimes people will try to attach a hole saw to their straight drill to get a large diameter hole drilled, but if you have to go through 2+ inches of wood like when there is bottom plate and sub-floor, an angle drill is certainly a great tool for the job.

In our experience, Makita drills are some of the best, and we have no problems giving them our highest recommendation. And their angle drills are no exception. We've found them to be durable and ergonomically sound, and they just plain get the job done in tight spaces. One thing we've noticed with lots of drills made by other companies, is the stress and strain they put on the body, particular on long days when their is a lot of work to be done. We feel fortunate to have discovered Makita's tools, for precisely this reason.
